COLES BAY & THE FREYCINET PENINSULA, TASMANIA

Coles Bay and Freycinet . . .THE place to stay. Relax in the beauty of this magical place. Don’t just stop. Do more than visit. Stay for a while and enjoy our special piece of paradise. Coles Bay’s local tourism and community association are excited to announce the release of our first YouTube video which features lots of beautiful local scenery, including local activities, attractions, accommodation.

Accommodation at Coles Bay ranges from camping to ultimate luxury. You can enjoy the communal experience of a back packer hostel, bring your caravan and share onsite facilities, hire a range of well equipped cabins, be pampered at a hosted B&B, indulge yourself at one of our resorts, or book one of the many comfortable family friendly holiday houses.

The sunsets are golden. The weather is fine. There is lots to do. Take the cruise around the Peninsula. Have a leisurely walk in Freycinet National Park. Kayak around the Bay. Go bush on a quad bike. See Wineglass Bay from the air. Or if you want to, chill out, relax and read a book. Whatever your idea of a holiday, this is the place.

The Freycinet Experience

Mention Coles Bay, Wineglass Bay, and Freycinet National Park to a Tasmanian and you’ll see eyes light up with thoughts of fishing and boating, bushwalking, sea kayaking, rock climbing, sun and sand, and spectacular coastal scenery.

Where else in Australia can you find pink granite mountains rising straight from the sea to form a magnificent sheltered waterway or one of the top ten beaches in the world, Wineglass Bay?

Coles Bay sits at the foot of the granite mountains known as the Hazards and on the edge of the world-renowned Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay, about two and 1/2 hours drive from Hobart and Launceston on the east coast of Tasmania.

"In a word, superb"…..Super stoked for our friend JPW, who is set up at Milton Vineyard and has just had a sensational review published in the Mercury Newspaper. We were lucky enough to have a taste of everything last weekend and highly recommend you stop in. The Wine by Milton Vineyard is beautiful, and the tapas are "by far the best tapas…to be had in Tasmania". I took a few pics to tempt you!
